our story

#TasteBlackCuse

“Coming Back Together: A Taste of Black ‘Cuse” was birthed in a book of ideas by Black-Owned Syracuse founder Shavon S. Greene in the fall of 2018.

The first annual Black Joy Week ended with our first annual food and drink festival from August 9th-11th 2019. More than 500 guests ate good food and shopped with local Black vendors.

Covid put a pause on the last two years, but we are happy to announce we are back for 2022!
